What does the project do and how does it work?
Tech Mahindra has collaborated with Power Ledger to unleash the power of Microgrid-as-a-Service(MaaS) incubated by Tech Mahindra. During the trials, Tech Mahindra's MaaS platform will be deployed with Power ledger's blockchain-enabled energy trading capability at their test centers in Mumbai. The project aims to bring the benefits of energy microgrid developments to India’s booming urban population, through Microgrid-as-a-Service. The project focuses on distributed renewable energy generation with an option to trade excess energy among consumers.
Who is involved in the project and why?
Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering services and Power Ledger, a blockchain-based peer-to-peer electricity trading platform provider have announced a series of technology trials. These trials on Micro Grid as a Service( MaaS) platform helps in creating a disruptive model in the electricity market by enabling building owners, campuses, smart cities, and communities to produce and manage their electricity affordably and even trade-in case of excess generation.
